Scope
Policy status: Approved and in effect. Pingplus Media maintains this policy as an active part of its established governance and daily operating practices. Effective April 11, 2026.
This policy describes acceptable conduct by users of Pingplus Media enterprise communications and related services. Specific customer contracts, applicable telecommunications regulations and network partner policies also apply.
Responsible communications
Customers must have a lawful basis and appropriate recipient permissions for every communication, use approved sender identities, follow country- and channel-specific requirements and honour opt-out and suppression requests when applicable. Customers must protect login, API and SMPP credentials and restrict authorised access.
Prohibited activities
The services must not be used for fraud, impersonation, phishing, harassment, malware, illegal content, deceptive sender spoofing, unsolicited bulk messaging, unauthorised interception or evasion of legal messaging controls. Attempts to bypass rate limits, security controls, consent and anti-abuse safeguards are prohibited.
OTP and sensitive information
One-time passwords, authentication codes and other sensitive messages should be limited to the intended lawful purpose and avoid unnecessary disclosure. Customers must not request recipients to return OTPs or passwords to unauthorised persons.
Enforcement and reporting
We may investigate suspected abuse and take appropriate contractual or legally required action, including requesting correction, restricting inappropriate content or escalating material security concerns. Any action affecting live message transport is governed by applicable agreements and operational safeguards. Report concerns via Contact.
Prohibited communication practices
Users must not knowingly send unsolicited promotional traffic without appropriate authorisation; misrepresent a sender; distribute phishing links, malware, fraudulent payment demands, harassment, discriminatory threats, unlawful offers or content prohibited in the delivery country; or attempt to evade routing, rate limits, consent, DND or other applicable restrictions. Traffic that appears to endanger recipients or network integrity may be investigated and handled under contractual safeguards.
Consent, records and sender identity
Customers are responsible for identifying a lawful basis for each campaign, retaining suitable opt-in and opt-out evidence where required, maintaining accurate source records and using sender identities authorised by the applicable operator or regulator. Transactional and promotional classes must not be deliberately mislabelled. Enterprise use of SMPP or APIs must observe registration, template and country-specific restrictions that apply to the selected route.
Content screening boundaries
Our messaging technology includes configurable content screening across global, tenant, customer, connection, campaign, country, supplier and route levels. Customers retain responsibility for sender authorization, recipient consent and the content of their communications.
Security of customer accounts
Each customer should designate authorised administrators, protect credentials and integration secrets, review staff access and alert us promptly if a sender account or API key is compromised. Credentials should not be transmitted by public email, chat or support screenshots. Customers must avoid deliberately generating traffic that overloads or circumvents negotiated throughput or anti-fraud thresholds.
Review, escalation and proportionate enforcement
Reports of suspected abuse are assessed using available communication details, legal requirements, network rules and customer instructions. Appropriate responses may include clarification, escalation, and proportionate contractual action.
